 How2become was established on April the 13th, 2005 when current serving Firefighter Richard McMunn decided that he wanted to set up a careers website that would help people to be what they want.

From his cellar Richard began to write his first guide which was entitled 'How to become a Firefighter'. Since then the company has grown and developed into the UK's leading careers information website and during October 2006 How2become received recognition by being acknowledged as one of the top 10 best new businesses in the UK when it reached the final of the HSBC Start Up Stars competition.
